Stork Craft Portofino 4-in-1 Crib Review

With plenty of space to store your baby’s needs and belongings plus a detachable baby changer, there’s no doubt why this 4-in-1 convertible baby crib is easily one of every mom’s favorite.

Stork Craft Portofino 4-in-1 Crib

Like most convertibles out in the market today, this crib can be changed very easily to 4 different bed settings: infant crib, day bed, toddler bed, and adult bed. It features a baby changer, 3 spacious drawers, and 3 shelves.

Except for the metal bed frame for adult use, all the parts for other uses such as the toddler guardrail, day bedside panel, and extra pair of vertical support, which would later be used when converting the baby changer into a nightstand, are also included.

Overall, it looks very elegant with 3 different finishes to choose from white, cherry, and espresso. It’s been certified by ASTM to be safe and free from toxic substances. The crib parts are somewhat lighter, which tells you the kind of wood being used here. It’s made up of pine and composite materials, not like the hardwood being used in other crib models. You might want to put some padding on the top part of the rails when your baby starts teething, just in case.

The crib’s metal support for the mattress has four different settings. Typically, moms start off with the highest setting and gradually lower it down as their baby grows. It’s a fixed-side baby crib in accordance with JPMA standards. The set does not include the mattress but it does have a changing pad for the baby changer. It’s a little thin, though, so you may want to buy a thicker one if you’re not happy with it.

Its detachable baby changer allows for quick and easy change and has a safety belt to keep your baby from rolling over. Beneath the changer is three shelves for storing your baby’s diapers, clothes, and other belongings. They’re big, roomy, and fun to use. It also has three shelves at the back of the drawers for your milk bottles, supplements, meds, etc.

The good thing with this crib set is that most of the parts for converting into 4 different bed settings are already included in the purchase (except for the metal bed frame for adults). That means you save more money on this set compared to other brands which require you to do a separate purchase for the parts. The tradeoff is that it’s made of relatively lighter materials (pine and composite). But with proper care, it can last for many years. All the parts fit snugly and the crib itself is very sturdy for baby use.

Overall, Stork Craft’s Portofino 4-in-1 with baby changer is one of the most cost-effective, value-for-your-money crib sets that you can find today. It offers a lot of features and does away with buying other sets of furniture for your baby’s needs, thus saving you a lot of money.

PROS:

  • Offers plenty of room for your baby’s needs
  • Features a detachable baby changer/nightstand
  • Complies with ASTM and JPMA standards
